Rabbit Rush

This project is a virtual reality parkour sports game designed for preschool and lower elementary school children. It runs on a standalone device and utilizes a camera to capture players' physical movements, eliminating the limitations of traditional exercise venues.

Keywords:Sports Game,Educational Game, Cartoon Rendering, Unity

Development Period:  March - November 2023

I haven't worked on the video yet....
Maybe wait a few days :)

Project Introduction

By making physical exercise engaging and fun, the game encourages children to participate in sports while enjoying themselves. Players control their in-game character by jumping and dodging left or right, using a computer or an all-in-one device with a camera. This design allows children to play in confined spaces like corridors or indoor areas, promoting physical activity even in environments lacking spacious play areas.

Outline Processing and Artistic Coloring

The shader enhances rendering efficiency compared to Unity’s default material.
Four rendering processes are illustrated: outlining, binary shadow diffusion, highlights, and edge lighting.
The shader employs procedural geometry outline rendering, Lambert lighting with threshold subdivision, and the Fresnel effect to achieve a stylized cartoon look.

Color Quantization: Colors are simplified to simulate anime-style shading by reducing color steps.

Shadow Calculation: Determines whether a pixel is in shadow based on the angle difference between the light source and the pixel.
